Director of Marketing

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing & implementing strategic and tactical communications plans designed to take advantage of market opportunities and generate demand. In addition, the Director of Marketing will lead a team that is focused on building awareness and enhancing brand reputation for MusicSynk, in order to drive a steady flow of leads and measure the return on marketing program investments. Entrepreneurial by nature, the ideal person will be a self-starter, motivated, resourceful and have excellent organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan
  • Implement strategic plan in collaboration with extended team & partners
  • Manage marketing budget
  • Evaluate new technologies to support marketing efforts
  • Manage the creation of all marketing collateral and sales enablement tools
  • Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign results
  • Enhance CRM processes and technologies
  • Collaborate and align on market segmentation, targeting and positioning
  • Execute SEO, SEM, advertising, PR, tradeshows and other demand-generation projects
  • Conduct research and evaluation of vendors and manage relationship (e.g. web firms, analysts, consultants, PR firms, etc.)
  • Work directly with Sales, BD and the Customer Experience team to support efforts
  • Lead and motivate a team of high energy marketing professionals
  • Maintain and accumulate knowledge and data of marketing trends, competitors and best practices in the space of social advertising

Requirements

  • B.S. in business degree, MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 4+ years in a marketing management position
  • Demonstrated success in marketing to top brands (i.e. Fortune 500)
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with executive team
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Analytical skills translated to actionable decisions
  • Solid problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Startup experience preferred
